OUR STORY

Jean Jacques Bakery started as an institution in 1983 in the heart of Carytown, in Richmond Virginia.

​

Husband & wife owned, Jozef & Emmauelle wake up every morning 346 days a year at the bright hour of 3:00 am to come to work and fill the palates of Richmonders.

​

​Jozef became a baker at the young age of 13 in Belgium. Emmanuelle gained her passion of becoming a professional chef from the age of 2 when her grandmother would put a chair next to the stove and would teach her every possible Italian dish known to man-kind.

​

Together, Jozef & Emmanuelle make the perfet combination of sweet & savory! Besides, how many people can say that they can work and be with their spouse 24 hours a day and not argue!

Jean Jacques Bakery serves homemade traditional pastries, breads, danishes, croissants and French, Belgium & Italian Bistro lunches!
